For this project, we had to develop a distinct narrative and pay attention to graphic space, image cropping and sizing, type/image relationship, tone, texture, border relationship, and graphic support elements I wanted to explore how food brings people together and explore the different types of community that arise with food experiences. For the poster, I decided to focus on the smaller community that is formed within families and that is passed down from generation to generation through recipes and family dinners. I specifically chose images that included my own family eating dinner with my great-grandfather, my parent’s wedding and their wedding cake, and a background of Poland where my great-grandparents came from. This poster was completed using Adobe Photoshop and InDesign.
